About

The aim of Bounce Broadband is to bring high speed internet to rural Ireland.

The company was born out of need and frustration. Living in a rural area as many of us do, we found ourselves trying to figure out ways of getting broadband to our rural location. Eventually after many years of talking about it, we decided to set up Bounce Broadband with the specific aim to provide broadband to rural areas.

The major Irish telecoms provider is rolling out DSL (broadband over your phone line) and enabling exchanges in rural areas, but even after the rollout of DSL to all exchanges is completed, large numbers of homes in rural Ireland will remain unable to avail of broadband services.

DSL is distance limited and unless customers are living within a certain number of kilometres from an exchange, otherwise DSL Broadband is unattainable. At the minimum a reduced DSL Broadband service is all that can be offered.

Using WiFi (wireless internet) technology we are able to deliver a better, more reliable product to our customers without the limitations of DSL (e.g. phone line rental).
